Just FYI THERE AREN'T TWELVE APOSTLES...

...there are 8 according to Wikipedia, or 7 according to our helicopter pilot. Take your pick.

Anyway, Julie and I spent a few days in Melbourne (if you're there go to Chin Chin, ask for the 'Feed Me') so we decided to rent a car and drive a few hours south to the Twelve Apostles Marine National Park. The drive down the Great Ocean Road was stunning, we were reminded of the drive down the 1 from San Francisco to Big Sur (shitty drivers included).

One thing Big Sur lacks however is giant limestone rock formations ('Apostles') towering above the ocean. So we jumped into a helicopter (#gettodachoppah) to see them up close. I called shotgun.
